Tomorrow’s Child News:
A copy of this publication is a gift from the Board of Trustees to each parent. There is a guided tour of the Montessori classroom, and information about each of the levels of an authentic Montessori school. Enjoy!
School Directory News:
We think the directory is correct now…..hope so, anyway! The directory will continue to be sent electronically throughout the year as addresses change and/or new families are added.
Collection News:
The school participates in a few collection activities throughout the school year. We are now collecting plastic shopping-type bags. These bags are donated to a church in Brunswick that has a food outreach for needy families. The bags are used to transport food from the church to home. Please drop these off in car line any time, and Mr. Cumby and Mr. Haas, our wonderful chess instructors, transport the bags to the church on behalf of our school.
Also, we are collecting plastic bottle caps and lids of all sizes, colors, and shapes are needed. Please rinse and then just pass these caps on to us in car line. Caps are being collected for Janita Nelson to be used in a large (really large) mural. We began collecting these last year, and will continue until the holidays – then we should have enough.
Finally, if anyone has an old glass aquarium they would like to donate – we need one for the upper elementary class to build an aquifer. This will involve drilling holes in the glass to allow water to run out – so old and “no we don’t want the aquarium back” is necessary for this donation. Please let Sara Zimmerman know if you can help with this.

New to Montessori News:
All our fabulous Montessori teachers returned safely to us this year (hallelujiah!). Mrs. Eyetoo’s assistant this year is Whitney Greene. Whitney has a master’s degree in art education, and she is also the director of Extended Care from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. every day. Mrs. Moseley’s assistant this year is Mandy Crowley. Mandy has a degree in business education, and she is helping with After Care from 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Mrs. Dinndorf, who has been employed at CMS for about eleven years, has taken over the After Care program. Matthew Day will return as the truly excellent Spanish teacher that he is, Pastor Paul will share Christian Education with our students as always, and we welcome Kraig Ware (Easton’s dad) to our staff as the Physical Education teacher. Spanish, Christian Education, and P.E. will begin after Labor Day.
